It Takes a Village
It takes a Village to get ready in the morning! Here is a snapshot of my Tipsy Artist closet. Vignettes are always changing. I love collecting a variety of album covers and changing them out for a fresh new look and theme that can guide the course of the whole room and the day!

Tipsy Artist Masters & Martinis Series Inspired by Vincent Van Gogh
Wonderland White Collage
You will need:
– 6×6 inch canvas (pack of 4 sold at Michael’s Craft Store for $14.99)
-acrylic paint, white, brown, yellow and black
– paint brushes ( 1 inch thick flat)
– Mod Podge
– alphabet stamps
-black ink stamp pad
– design pattern tape
– gold leaf
*supplies bought at Michael’s Craft Store and Tiffany Michelle Designs Boutique
Steps:
Setting up the assembly line…
1. Paint all canvas with combination of white and taupe colors. Allow to dry for 20 minutes.
2. Apply design tape in random places on canvas. Plan for composing room for your gold leaf and words.
3. Apply a thin coat of Mod Podge over the top of design tape to make sure that it stays flat and permanently secured.
4. Apply a thin coat of Mod Podge to areas where you want gold leaf. Gently lay a layer of gold leaf over the top of wet Mod Podge. Very Gently smooth out gold leaf over the glue. Allow to dry for 15 minutes.
5. Select your letters to personalize each piece. I have chosen family names for these pieces that can all be hung together in one group and be given as gifts for special occasions. You can also use words such as LOVE, JOY, PEACE, LIVE, LAUGH, LOL, etc.
6. Voila! Your Fine Art Family!
One more Tipsy Tip… You will need to apply pressure from underneath canvas while you are pressing down on stamp with either the pressure of your finger or ideally small block of wood that is of equal size to add resistance so that stamp leaves a firm solid impression. Without the resistance, the stamp will not make a proper legible mark.
